CONTEST BEST CASE REPORTS AWARD

The Contest “Best Case Report Award” is an opportunity for you to share with international colleagues the experience learned from one of the patients you have accompanied from the moment of trauma to the time of return to play.

How to present the story

  • Share the experience you have learned from your case report: a patient you have followed from injury to the return to play.
  • Narrative Medicine aims to address the relational and psychological dimensions that occur in tandem with physical illness, with the perspective to treat patients as humans with individual stories. We are not interested just in the clinical side of the story but also in human aspects.

The selection and final phases

  • A score will be assigned to each abstract based on the following criteria: narrative medicine reporting style, relevance to the conference topic, experiences from other sports to be shared, objective measurements for decision-making, integrates athlete’s voice, clear flow of information. The fourteen (14) abstracts with the highest score will be accepted for a podium presentation in the Best Case Report Finals during the Conference.
  • The Judges will chair the final phase and will evaluate the case presentation with a set of criteria, including the speaker performance and the engagement of the player (Players’ Voice). The score of the abstract added to the score of the presentation will determine the final ranking of the Contest.
  • The 1500€ (first prize), 1000€ (second prize), 500€ (third prize) awards will be assigned in a dedicated ceremony and the winner of the first prize will be invited as part of the Official Faculty in the 2026 edition of the Isokinetic Conference!
  • The other abstracts (not included in the 14 finalists) will be moved to a Free Oral Sessions “Case reports”.
